Terms of Use and Policies of the #Muarrab Initiative

Definitions

Key terms

The Site: The website of the “Muarrab” initiative and all pages, applications and services linked to it.

The User: Anyone who visits the Site or uses its services in any way.

The Services: All services provided through the Site, including the localization directory, the search engine and the educational content.

Personal Information: Any information that identifies the User, including technical data and cookies.

Localizations: Translations and localizations of games, whether official or made by the community.

General Terms of Use

Acceptance of the terms

By using the “Muarrab” Site, you agree to be bound by these terms and policies. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the Site.

Permitted use

Users may:

  • Search for information on available localizations
  • Access the direct links to the translators
  • Read the educational and guidance content
  • Share links to the Site with others

Prohibited use

Users may not:

  • Attempt to hack the Site or harm its systems
  • Republish content without explicit permission
  • Impersonate the initiative or the translators
  • Use the Site for illegal purposes
  • Circumvent intellectual property rights

Intellectual Property Rights

Site content

All rights to the Site’s original content (design, text, logos) are reserved to the “Muarrab” initiative. Quoting is permitted with credit to the source.

Third-party rights

Translators’ rights: All localizations mentioned remain the property of their original makers. We respect their rights in full and direct users to their own sources.

Developers’ and publishers’ rights: The trademarks and game names mentioned remain the property of their respective owners.

Collecting and Using Data

The data we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run the Site:

  • Basic browsing data (IP address, browser type)
  • Anonymous usage statistics
  • Contact information (only when you contact us)

How we use data

We use the data collected to:

  • Improve the Site’s performance and speed
  • Understand users’ needs
  • Protect the Site from harmful use

The “Muarrab” initiative is not liable for:

  • Technical problems resulting from applying localizations
  • Financial or legal losses arising from use of the information provided
  • Service interruptions or technical errors

Our Site contains links to external websites (translators’ sites, official platforms). These links:

  • Are provided only for the users’ convenience
  • Do not mean that we endorse the content of those sites
  • Are subject to the privacy policies of their own sites

Responsibility for external content

We are not responsible for:

  • The content of linked external sites
  • The privacy policies of those sites
  • Any dealings between the User and those sites

Users’ Rights

Access and correction

Users have the right to:

  • Request to know the data held about them
  • Correct any wrong information
  • Request deletion of their personal data
  • Object to the processing of their data

Minors

Protecting minors

We are committed to protecting the privacy of minors:

  • We do not knowingly collect information about children under 16
  • We ask for parental consent for minors when necessary
  • We delete any data about minors as soon as we become aware of it

Changes and Updates

Update policy

We reserve the right to update these terms and policies:

  • Updates take effect as soon as they are published
  • We will announce material changes on the Site
  • Continuing to use the Site means accepting the updates

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the “Muarrab” initiative and the Site’s users, and supersedes any prior agreements.
